In this session, we’ll walk through what Kara calls the Overwhelm Cycle—a pattern of predictable thoughts, feelings, and reactions that many caregivers experience when stress builds up. Together, we’ll map out what this cycle looks like in your life so you can begin to recognize the signs early. With this awareness, you’ll learn how to gently interrupt the cycle and create more space for clarity, peace, and empowered action. This is about breaking free from the loop of constant overwhelm and finding a new way forward.

This month’s Talk + Tools is all about anxiety management strategies designed specifically for caregivers of medically complex children. You’ll walk away with simple, powerful tools that work in real life—tools you can actually use in the middle of a hard day, not just when things are calm. Expect space to connect, breathe, and learn practical ways to support your nervous system—both during the session and long after it ends.

Caring for others often comes at the expense of caring for ourselves—and over time, that can lead to exhaustion and burnout. In this interactive workshop, we’ll explore practical and sustainable ways to approach self-care as caregivers. Together, we’ll look at how to support our own well-being in the midst of chronic stress and the daily (and nightly) demands of caregiving. You’ll walk away with tools and mindsets to help you create rhythms of rest and renewal—so that you can keep showing up with strength, compassion, and sustainability for the people who need you most.
